If you didn't know "Ma Bell," this probably doesn't apply to you. But lots of people did know her, which is why the passing of Point Defiance drummer Danny Allen's mom last week has brought so much sadness to the area. Friday, a party in her honor will be thrown at Backstage Bar & Grill and will feature longtime scene stalwarts Point Defiance, Jeff Angell and Timmy Vegas. Described as "everyone's mom" back in the day," Tacoma will no doubt celebrate Ma Bell's life in style.
