Americas Credit Union has been recognized as Washington's Best-In-State Credit Union of 2024 by Forbes

Forbes, in collaboration with market research firm Statista, conducted an extensive survey involving approximately 26,000 U.S. residents to identify the top credit unions in each state. Participants evaluated their financial institutions based on several key criteria, including customer service, quality of financial advice, fee structures, ease of navigating digital and in-person services, and overall trust.

"We are honored to be recognized by Forbes as the best credit union in Washington," said Phil Prothero, ACU's chief operations officer. "Our members are at the heart of everything that we do. It's nice to be recognized that our focus on innovation, integrity, and relationship-building has set us apart in the industry."

He added that America's Credit Union (ACU) is proud of its military heritage and celebrates the fact that active duty, retired, and reserve members and their family members across the Pacific Northwest are welcome to join.

ACU was created seven decades ago to serve civilian federal employees and their families who worked at then Fort Lewis. Since then, it has provided a valuable alternative to commercial banks by operating as a cooperative to the benefit of its members.

"We are consistent in our commitment to our active duty service members, veterans and civilians," continued Prothero. "We have 70 years of experience, and we are proud of our military heritage and celebrate the fact that veterans still make up a substantial amount of our membership."

Service and selection are key. From checking accounts (Affinity Plus, Affinity Premier and Affinity Basic) and savings accounts (ACU Share Certificates, Christmas Club, Health Savings Account, IRA Savings, Money Market Account, Performance Saver, Veterans Family Fund and Children Savings Accounts) to borrowing (Mortgage Services, Credit Cards, Auto Loans, Personal Loans and Student Loans) and business services (SBA Loans and Cash Back Credit Card), ACU provides protected personal and on-line services.

With its 12 branch locations spanning the distance from Lacey and Yelm to Graham, Spanaway and Tacoma, ACU also provides its members with more than 30,000 ATMS and 5,300 branch locations nationwide.

"We are here to serve you, and all are welcome," concluded Prothero.
