By now you've heard about the roller derby resurgence. Hell, you may have even seen that movie Drew Barrymore directed with the chick from Juno in it. I haven't seen it, but something tells me it's not half as cool as actually watching Tacoma's own Dockyard Derby Dames in action, in a real-life, knockdown, drag-out bout. That's exactly what you'll get Saturday, when the Dames bust out the elbow pads and helmets - and offer the full-contact hungry what they've been looking for during the second bout of the 2010 season at Pierce College in Lakewood. The after party is at the Steilacoom Pub & Grill.

Prediction: Not since the seventh grade will Volcano Derby Dame groupie Michael Swan have been surrounded by so many girls that could kick his ass.
