Back when the old Firwood Roadhouse packed them in on the outskirts of Puyallup, any normal person who walked into the huge space would immediately think, "Oh, they must have had a casting call for Paradise Hotel 2 here earlier." It was the quintessential meat market, especially on Fridays. The Firwood Rock Lounge has reopened in the old Drake's spot in downtown Tacoma.
Shedding the old “Roadhouse” surname, the Firwood has reopened in the former Drake's spot on Pacific Avenue. Acoustic engineers have taken over the new Firwood Rock Lounge in order to give the place the best opportunity for exquisite live music. An elevated stage, three brand new bars (one of them extremely huge), re-built booths, and an entirely cleaned-up kitchen now occupy the once gutted business space.
Thursdays: DJs
Friday-Saturday: Live music

$10 to see Kry? $9 Jagerbombs? High Priced well drinks on a Friday night. This is nothing like the old firwood. I will not be returning. Pizza was good though I will give them that.
