Known as the Malcolm X Center before the name was changed in 1978 to People's Center. With a primary focus on youth and after school programming, this central Tacoma "Hilltop" location is popular with adults and the many children and youth in the area. A recently completed renovation enhances the facility, which includes a fitness center, indoor swimming pool and basketball/gym facility.
